              Player's Conduct Of Ethics

As a member of the Vallejo Knights Basketball Academy, it is imperative that each player maintain a certain respect for the team(s), themselves and others. We expect each player to make an effort to achieve and maintain at least a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) and have good attendance and behavior while attending school as well as being respectful at home. (Players must provide coaches with school report card or school progress report during the basketball season). Should you not be able to adhere to these expectations, you will be subject to disciplinary action. Let’s look at some specific habits of good attitude: Hustles, Plays team basketball, Desire to listen to the coach, Takes responsibility for mistakes and does not blame them on teammates, Never blames any teammate or coach for a defeat, Never makes excuses, Concentrates on what the coach is saying, Does not use foul language, Competitive, Plays Hard.

“THE TEAM(S) DISCIPLINE/TERMINATION GUIDELINES”

THE FOLLOWING ARE TYPES OF MISCONDUCT THAT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED:

A)    Poor Academics, Unexcused or Unacceptable behavior/attendance in school.

B)    Suspension or expulsion from school.

C)    Violent Behavior.

D)    Disruptive or inappropriate conversations during practices, games and/or conditioning.

E)    Threatening and/or committing physical violence among teammates or tournament players and

           fighting against schoolmates.

F)     Excessive absenteeism and/or tardiness.

G)    Behaving unsophisticated during practices and/or during tournament games.

H)    Failure to report an absences within 24-hours to the director/coach and being disrespectful/

          discourteous toward coaches, assistance coaches, team staff, teammates, parent(s),and adults.

I)      Any abusive, foul or inappropriate language.

J)     Missing (3) or more practices (an excused absent requires verification to the coaches).

K)    No inappropriate attire.

L)    Boys-no sagging pants/shorts. Girls-no halter tops/short shorts.

M)   Being involved in any type of illegal activities.

Remember you are a reflection of our Academy, Team, Coaches, and your Parent(s). These rules will be enforced, and should be taken very seriously. Disciplinary action will be negotiated between the coaches and the parent(s).

I have read and will cooperate with these Conducts of Ethics and will do what I can to help our Team implement and enforce them.
